Bandys has enjoyed a three-game homestand but will soon have to dust off their road jerseys. They will take on the West Caldwell Warriors at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully Bandys focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 16 on Tuesday.
Even though Bandys has not done well against Newton-Conover recently (they were 0-9 in their previous nine matchups), they didn't let the past get in their way. Bandys walked away with a 49-37 victory over Newton-Conover.
Rachel Anderson was her usual excellent self, scoring 23 points along with six steals and five assists. She hasn't dropped below 15points for three straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Lexi Vaughan, who scored ten points along with four steals.
Meanwhile, West Caldwell's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their third straight loss. They took a 52-33 bruising from West Lincoln. West Caldwell has not had much luck with West Lincoln recently, as the team's come up short the last two times they've met.
Bandys' win bumped their record up to 7-8. As for West Caldwell, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-12.
Bandys came up short against West Caldwell in their previous meeting back in February of 2023, falling 46-40. Can Bandys avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
