Lynn barely beat Winston County the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Bears blew past the Yellowjackets 14-4 on Thursday. The result was nothing new for the Bears, who have now won seven matchups by six runs or more so far this season.

Coby Sherer made a splash while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, pitching five innings while giving up three earned (and one unearned) runs off seven hits. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than two walks in three consecutive appearances. He was also stellar in the batter's box, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with two stolen bases, three runs, and one RBI.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Conner Tittle, who got on base in all four of his plate appearances with two stolen bases, three runs, and three RBI. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in March of 2025. Another player making a difference was Colt Heck, who got on base in two of his three plate appearances with two runs.

Lynn always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .667. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Winston County only posted an OBP of .348.

The victory (which was Lynn's third in a row) raised their record to 11-4. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.0 runs on average over those games. As for Winston County, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-12 record this season.

Lynn will take on Lamar County at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Winston County, they will face off against Hackleburg at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday.
