The Booker Tornadoes will look to defend their home court on Saturday against the Fort Myers Green Wave at 7:30 p.m. Booker will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Florida Rankings (they are ranked 450th, while Fort Myers is ranked 187th).
Booker suffered their closest loss yet this season on Monday. They fell just short of Riverview Sarasota by a score of 56-53.
Booker's loss came about despite a quality game from Jovan Palavra, who scored 19 points. Another player making a difference was Jamareon Ruffin, who scored 11 points.
Meanwhile, Fort Myers entered their tilt with Riverdale with three consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with four. Fort Myers came out on top against Riverdale by a score of 75-64 on Thursday. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.
Booker's loss dropped their record down to 6-9. As for Fort Myers, their victory bumped their record up to 9-4.
