Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Pentwater). They blew past the Crossroads Charter Academy Cougars 85-15 on Friday. The Falcons have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won three matchups by 31 points or more this season.

Pentwater's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Jonny Arnouts, who almost dropped a double-double on 12 points and nine assists. Arnouts is also crushing it when it comes to steals: he's grabbed at least two every time he's taken the court this season. Mikey Carlson was another key player, dropping a double-double on 15 points and 11 rebounds.

Pentwater smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 16 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least ten offensive rebounds in nine consecutive contests.

Pentwater pushed their record up to 8-1 with the win, which was their fourth straight at home. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 77.0 points per game. As for Crossroads Charter Academy, they are on a ten-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-6.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Pentwater will venture away from home to face off against White Cloud at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Crossroads Charter Academy, they will square off against West Michigan Lutheran at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
