The Freer Buckaroos will be playing at home against the Premont Cowboys at 6:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Freer will be looking to extend their current nine-game winning streak.
Freer scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Friday. They breezed by Ben Bolt at home to the tune of 73-23. The matchup was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 34-14.
Freer had a senior duo take command as Samantha Barker scored 25 points along with five rebounds and four steals and Jayda Washington shot 4-for-6 from downtown and dropped a double-double on 16 points and 12 rebounds. Washington also posted two blocks for the first time this season. Ashlyn Bulter was another key contributor, scoring 11 points along with eight rebounds and three steals.
Premont has not had quite the year their fans were hoping for to this point, but back-to-back wins may be a sign of good things to come. They secured a 38-33 W over Ben Bolt on Tuesday.
Freer has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won nine of their last ten contests, which provided a nice bump to their 14-4 record this season. As for Premont, their win ended a six-game drought on the road and puts them at 4-12.
Freer strolled past Premont when the teams last played back in December of 2023 by a score of 53-36. Will Freer repeat their success, or does Premont have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
