Alexander has gone 9-1 against United South recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. The Alexander Bulldogs will venture away from home to square off against the United South Panthers at 7:30 p.m. Neither team made it on the board the last time they hit the pitch, so they've probably got a bit of extra motivation.

Alexander is headed into Friday's contest hungry for a win as their strong season has now been derailed by two straight defeats. They came up short against Cornerstone Christian on Saturday, falling 3-0.

Meanwhile, United South kept a clean sheet against Eagle Pass on Friday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 1-0 victory over the Eagles. The win was all the more spectacular given the Panthers' disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas soccer rankings (they are ranked 289th, while the Eagles are ranked 136th).

United South's one-goal win came courtesy of Lionel Rios, who's now up to 12 this season.

Alexander's loss dropped their record down to 9-3. As for United South, they now have a winning record of 7-6-2.

Alexander took their victory against United South when the teams last played back in March of 2024 by a conclusive 3-0. The rematch might be a little tougher for Alexander since the squad won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
