The Parrish Community Bulls were the 56-37 winner over the Imagine School at North Port Sharks when they last played one another back in January, but their luck changed this time around. Parrish Community fell 61-54 to Imagine School at North Port on Wednesday. That's two games in a row now that Parrish Community has lost by exactly seven points.
Several Bulls players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Malakai Cuffy, who scored 13 points along with eight assists and three steals. Cuffy is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last eight games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Dylan Higgins, who scored 16 points.
Imagine School at North Port got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Angelo Blas out in front who scored 18 points along with six rebounds and two steals. Blas has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last five times he's played. Jj Hall was another key contributor, scoring 14 points.
Parrish Community's defeat was their third straight at home, which dropped their record down to 15-8. As for Imagine School at North Port, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 10-12.
Parrish Community will take on Boca Ciega at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. One thing working in Boca Ciega's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last three matches. As for Imagine School at North Port, they will head out on the road to challenge Bradenton Christian at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Hopefully Imagine School at North Port focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 15 on Wednesday.
