The Andrean Fighting 59ers will face off against the Boone Grove Wolves at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. Boone Grove took a loss in their last match and will be looking to turn the tables on Andrean, who comes in off a win.
Andrean barely beat Wheeler the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Fighting 59ers were the clear victors by a 12-2 margin over the Bearcats on Tuesday. The Fighting 59ers might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won three contests by ten runs or more this season.

Sadie Drousias made a splash no matter where she played. She tossed five innings while giving up just two earned runs off five hits. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than one walk any time she's pitched this season. She was even better at the plate, scoring four runs while going 4-for-4. The dominant performance also gave her a new career-high in doubles (two).
In other batting news, Micah Snider and Maddy McCoy did most of the damage at the plate: Snider scored two runs and stole a base while going 3-for-4, while McCoy went 2-for-4 with two runs, one triple, and one stolen base. That's the most hits Snider has posted since back in May of 2024. Another player making a difference was Aubrey Grasha, who scored a run while going 2-for-4.
Andrean was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .529. That's the best batting average they've posted all season.
Meanwhile, Boone Grove was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They came up short against Crown Point, falling 11-0.
Andrean's victory was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 4-1. Those road wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.8 runs on average this season. As for Boone Grove, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-5.
Boone Grove's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Andrean has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .562. It's a different story for Boone Grove, though, as they've only averaged .246. Will they be able to contain Andrean's hitters?
Andrean couldn't quite get it done against Boone Grove when the teams last played back in April of 2023 as they fell 7-3. Can the Fighting 59ers avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
