After some red-hot attacks at the plate in their last three matches, Waco finally came back down to earth on Tuesday. They came up short against the Chaparral Bobcats, falling 18-2. The Lions' defeat signaled the end of their four-game winning streak.

Waco saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Edwardo Guerrero, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with two RBI.

Waco's loss was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 4-7. As for Chaparral, their record now sits at 10-7-2.

While Waco had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
