The Turlock Bulldogs's homestand continues as they prepare to take on the Pitman Pride at 7:30 p.m. on January 17th. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.
Turlock pushed their score all the way to 57 on Friday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They took a 62-57 hit to the loss column at the hands of Gregori.
Meanwhile, Pitman was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap on Monday as they fell 48-44 to Liberty. While losing is never fun, Pitman can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 255th, while Liberty is ranked 88th).
Turlock has not been sharp recently, as they've lost three of their last four contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 8-8 record this season. As for Pitman, their loss dropped their record down to 13-6.
Turlock and Pitman were neck-and-neck in their previous matchup back in February of 2023, but Turlock came up empty-handed after a 74-73 defeat. Thankfully for Turlock, Seth Vink (who shot 5-for-6 from downtown and dropped a double-double on 20 points and 14 rebounds) won't be suiting up this time. Will that be enough to change the final result? Check MaxPreps.com after the match to find out.
