Havelock was the 59-45 winner over D.H. Conley when they last played one another back in February of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Havelock Rams were just a bucket shy of victory on Friday and fell 65-64 to the D.H. Conley Vikings. The Rams' loss signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Several Rams players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Zyking Patillo, who dropped a double-double on 15 points and ten boards. Patillo has become a key player for Havelock: the team is 3-1 when he posts at least ten rebounds, but 1-3 otherwise. Another player making a difference was Chris Strong, who posted 19 points.

D.H. Conley's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Shammah Cabell led the charge by going 5 of 9 on his way to 15 points and eight rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Khaliq Boston, who had 12 points and seven assists.

Havelock's defeat dropped their record down to 4-4. As for D.H. Conley, their record now sits at 3-8.

Havelock didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 74-64 victory against Jacksonville on the 7th. As for D.H. Conley, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 91-55 loss against J.H. Rose on the 7th.
