After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Birmingham, The Cleveland Cavaliers were happy to have found some success on Thursday. They strolled past El Camino Real with points to spare, taking the game 34-20. The high flying offensive effort was a huge turnaround for Cleveland's six-point performance the game before.
Cleveland's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Kory Hall, who picked up 91 receiving yards and two touchdowns. Hall was no stranger to the big play, cutting upfield for a catch that went for 60 yards. Domenik Fuentes was another key contributor, throwing for 208 yards and three touchdowns while completing 100% of his passes.
When it comes to explaining why El Camino Real lost, one person who can't be blamed is Kevin Hawkins. Despite the final result, he rushed for 59 yards and two touchdowns on only seven carries, and also threw for 189 yards and a touchdown.
Cleveland's win was their third straight on the road, which bumped their overall record up to 7-3. Admittedly, the team didn't face the toughest opposition across those games, namely El Camino Real, Chatsworth, and Taft. As for El Camino Real, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-7.
Cleveland will be playing at home against Kennedy at 7:00 p.m. on November 3rd. Kennedy knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with flashy point totals in its past three contests -- so hopefully Cleveland likes a good challenge. As for El Camino Real, they will head out on the road to face off against Dorsey at 7:00 p.m. on November 3rd.
