After a string of three wins, Antioch's good fortune finally ran out on Saturday. They took a serious blow against Burlington, falling 58-22. While losing is never fun, Antioch can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' basketball rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 352nd in Illinois, while Burlington is ranked 46th in Wisconsin).
Meanwhile, Round Lake's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Saturday after their fourth straight defeat. They were dealt a 54-17 loss at the hands of Leyden. Round Lake was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 33-13.
Antioch's loss dropped their record down to 13-16. As for Round Lake, their defeat was their 27th straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-27.
