Wise and DuVal are an even 5-5 against one another since April of 2018, but likely not for long. The Pumas are taking a road trip to challenge the Tigers at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the two teams posted some lofty run totals in their previous games.
Wise barely beat Suitland the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Pumas never let the Rams get on the board and left with a 12-0 victory on Tuesday. The win continues a trend for the Pumas in their matchups with the Rams: they've now won six in a row.

Daron Williams made a splash while hitting and pitching. He didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out six over four innings pitched. Those six strikeouts gave him a new career-high. He was also big at the plate, going 1-for-3 with one home run. That home run was his first of the season.
In other batting news, Wise got a massive performance out of Christian Moore, who went 2-for-3 with four RBI, two runs, and one triple. Those four RBI gave Moore a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Anthony Dapaah, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run and three RBI.
Wise was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .500. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .350 or higher in three consecutive contests.
Meanwhile, DuVal made easy work of Suitland last Monday and carried off a 23-10 victory.
Like Wise, DuVal also got a great game from a two-way player: Jeremias Velez. On the mound, he struck out nine batters over 3.2 innings while giving up just two earned (and seven unearned) runs off three hits. Velez was also stellar in the batter's box, going a perfect 4-for-4 with five RBI, three runs, and one triple. He is also on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last three games he's played dating back to last season.
In other batting news, Adolfo Carino and Wilkins Belen did most of the damage at the plate: Carino got on base in four of his five plate appearances with four runs, two stolen bases, and four RBI, while Belen went a perfect 4-for-4 with four runs, three RBI, and one triple. Ramon Ceballos was another key player, going 1-for-3 with three runs, one stolen base, and one double.
DuVal now has a winning record of 2-1. As for Wise, their win was their first in the region, bumping their region record up to 1-3 and their overall record up to 2-3.
Wise might still be hurting after the 12-2 defeat they got from DuVal in their previous meeting back in May of 2025. Can the Pumas avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
