The Conestoga Cougars's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Thursday after their third straight loss. Their rough 62-36 defeat to Plattsmouth might stick with them for a while. Conestoga was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Plattsmouth apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in February.
Despite the loss, Conestoga still got an impressive performance from Davida Garrett, who scored 16 points along with five rebounds and five steals. Garrett continues to roll, besting her previous point total in each of the last four games she's played.
Conestoga bumped their record down to 2-6 with that defeat, which was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season. As for Plattsmouth, their win bumped their record up to 3-5.
Conestoga and Johnson County Central will round out the year against one another at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday at. Johnson County Central's defense has only allowed 28.8 points per game this season, so Conestoga's offense will have their work cut out for Conestoga. Plattsmouth will be staying on the road on Thursday to face off against Wayne at 7:00 p.m. on December 28th.
