The Gull Lake Blue Devils will head out on the road to take on the Norrix Knights at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, both teams will really light up the scoreboard.
Gull Lake suffered their biggest loss yet this season on Tuesday. They were outmatched by Mattawan on the road and fell 88-57. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Gull Lake in their matchups with Mattawan: they've now lost three in a row.
Meanwhile, in a tight game that could have gone either way, Norrix made off with a 69-68 victory over Jackson. The victory was all the more spectacular given Norrix's disadvantage in MaxPreps' Michigan basketball rankings (they are ranked 318th, while Jackson is ranked 101st).
Gull Lake now has a losing record at 6-7. As for Norrix, the win makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 5-6.
Gull Lake came out on top in a nail-biter against Norrix in their previous meeting back in December of 2023, sneaking past 55-52. Does Gull Lake have another victory up their sleeve, or will Norrix turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
