The A.L. Brown Wonders lost against the Mooresville Blue Devils back in October of 2022, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. A.L. Brown took a 30-20 hit to the loss column at the hands of Mooresville. A.L. Brown has struggled against Mooresville recently, as their matchup on Friday was their fifth consecutive lost matchup.
When it comes to explaining why A.L. Brown lost, one person who can't be blamed is Mekhi Herron. Despite the final result, he rushed for 198 yards and a touchdown while picking up 8.3 yards per carry. Herron's longest rush was for an incredible 83 yards. The team also got some help courtesy of Derick Brazil, who picked up 104 receiving yards and a touchdown.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Mooresville to victory, but perhaps none more so than Eric Heal, who rushed for 111 yards and a touchdown on only 13 carries. Randy Fulmore did his part to keep the secondary busy, picking up 93 receiving yards and a touchdown.
A.L. Brown's loss was their third straight on the road, which dropped their overall record down to 5-5. As for Mooresville, the win for they keeps them at an undefeated 10-0.
A.L. Brown will be playing at home against Concord at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Mooresville, they will head out on the road to face off against Lake Norman at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Lake Norman is currently enjoying a perfect season and no doubt want to keep things rolling.
