Last Friday, Archbishop Mitty got themselves on the board against Bellarmine College Prep, but Bellarmine College Prep never followed suit. They enjoyed a cozy 19-0 victory over the Bells.

St. Ignatius College Preparatory fell on hard times earlier this season, but after back-to-back wins it seems like their luck might finally be changing. They were the clear victor by a 38-14 margin over Sacred Heart Cathedral Preparatory. Given St. Ignatius College Preparatory's advantage in MaxPreps' California football rankings (they are ranked 63rd, while Sacred Heart Cathedral Preparatory is ranked 256th), the result on Friday wasn't entirely unexpected.
St. Ignatius College Preparatory relied on the efforts of Cameron Jones, who rushed for 107 yards and a touchdown on only eight carries, and Jarious Hogan, who rushed for 96 yards and two touchdowns.
Archbishop Mitty's win bumped their record up to 5-3. As for St. Ignatius College Preparatory, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 5-3 record this season.
Archbishop Mitty couldn't quite finish off St. Ignatius College Preparatory in their previous matchup back in October of 2022 and fell 24-21. Can Archbishop Mitty avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
