The Bishop McDevitt Crusaders were the 56-41 winner over the Boiling Springs Bubblers when they last played one another on January 3rd, but their luck changed this time around. Bishop McDevitt fell 53-45 to Boiling Springs on Friday. Bishop McDevitt has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Boiling Springs to victory, but perhaps none more so than Brayden Richie, who scored 14 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Brandon Ascione, who scored 13 points.
Bishop McDevitt has not been sharp recently, as they've lost six of their last seven matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 9-8 record this season. As for Boiling Springs, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 11-5.
Bishop McDevitt will head out on the road to take on Camp Hill at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. Camp Hill will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Pennsylvania Rankings (they are ranked 569th, while Bishop McDevitt is ranked 244th). As for Boiling Springs, they will look to defend their home court on Wednesday against East Pennsboro at 7:30 p.m.
