Softball Recap: Linton-Stockton Wins Going Away Against Northeast Dubois

Linton-Stockton hadn't done well against Northeast Dubois recently (they were 0-3 in their previous three matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Monday. The Miners blew past the Jeeps 9-2. The result was nothing new for the Miners, who have now won eight matches by six runs or more so far this season.

Linton-Stockton is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-8 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.3 runs over those games. As for Northeast Dubois, their loss dropped their record down to 9-5.

Looking ahead, Linton-Stockton will look to defend their home field on Tuesday against Loogootee at 6:00 p.m. The Miners are facing the Lions at the right time seeing as the Lions are stuck on a four-game losing streak. As for Northeast Dubois, they are taking a road trip to take on South Knox at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday.
