Last Tuesday, Edmond North faced Edmond Memorial in a battle between two of the state's top teams. Edmond North snuck past Edmond Memorial with a 69-64 victory. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.
Deer Creek was handed a two-point defeat in their last game, but they sure didn't let that happen against Western Heights on Saturday. Deer Creek blew past Western Heights 48-18 at home. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest win Deer Creek has posted yet this season.
Edmond North's win bumped their record up to 12-1. As for Deer Creek, their win bumped their record up to 4-13.
Everything came up roses for Edmond North against Deer Creek when the teams last played back in December of 2023 as the team secured a 82-17 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for Edmond North since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
