The Castle Knights will face off against the Southridge Raiders at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
Castle came out on top against Vincennes Lincoln on Friday thanks in part to the team's impressive ten-run sixth inning. The Knights blew past the Alices 14-2. The Knights haven't had any issues with the Alices recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive victory against them.

Ella Pickard made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she tossed four innings while giving up just two earned runs off four hits. She has been consistent: she hasn't given up more than two walks in seven consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going 1-for-4 with two RBI and one double.
In other pitching news, Bailey Gravens looked comfortable as she pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up a single hit in three consecutive appearances.
Back at the plate, the team relied heavily on Emma Bruggenschmidt, who went 3-for-4 with one home run, three runs, and one stolen base. June Copeland also deserves some recognition as she launched her first home run of the season.
Castle kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 17 hits. They are undefeated (14-0) when they post 11 or more hits.
Southridge came out on top against Wood Memorial on Thursday thanks in part to the team's impressive seven-run third inning. The Raiders put the hurt on the Trojans with a sharp 11-1 win.
Millie Hunter tossed a big game, not allowing a single earned run over five innings pitched.
On the hitting side, Kenley Ferguson was incredible, getting on base in all four of her plate appearances with two stolen bases, four RBI, and one run. Those four RBI gave her a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Keegan LaRoche, who went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, two runs, and two RBI.
Castle's record now sits at 17-4-1. As for Southridge, their record is now 12-6.
Saturday's matchup will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Castle hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .416. However, it's not like Southridge struggles in that department as they've averaged .361. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
