The Provo Bulldogs scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Friday. They enjoyed a cozy 74-55 win over Uintah. Winning may never get old, but Provo sure is getting used to it with their fifth in a row.
Provo had a senior duo take command as Jason Carter dropped a double-double on 24 points and 13 rebounds and Aaron Castagnetto scored 29 points. Carter has been hot recently, having posted 15 or more points the last five times he's played. Another player making a difference was Makai Allen, who scored six points along with two steals.
Uintah's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was JJ Jenson, who scored 17 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Brayden Murray, who scored 17 points.
Provo has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 15-7 record this season. As for Uintah, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 6-14.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Provo will take on the Eagles at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Layton Christian Academy has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 1,523 points over their last 22 matches. As for Uintah, they will be playing in front of their home fans against the Timberwolves at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Timpanogos is no doubt hoping to put an end to a four-game streak of away losses.
