Cottage Hill Christian Academy hasn't had much luck against Bayside Academy recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Warriors will look to defend their home field against the Admirals at 7:00 p.m. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Cottage Hill Christian Academy comes in on seven and Bayside Academy on five.
Cottage Hill Christian Academy will bounce into Friday's game after beating T.R. Miller, who they had gone 0-6 against in their six prior meetings. The Warriors strolled past the Tigers with points to spare on Friday, taking the game 28-14.

Caleb Metzner produced another solid performance picking up 149 receiving yards and two scores, while also rushing for 86 yards and a pair of TDs on only five carries. That's the most receiving yards he has posted since back in September of 2024. Another player making a difference was Shamar Toodle, who threw for 233 yards and a pair of touchdowns while completing 77.8% of his passes.
They were just one part of a punishing run game: Cottage Hill Christian Academy was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 267 rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now rushed for at least 168 rushing yards in nine consecutive matchups dating back to last season.
Cottage Hill Christian Academy didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off four passes before the game was over. It was truly a group effort as Cohen Perea, Xykais Thomas, Jj Davis, and Jayden Davis picked up one apiece.
Meanwhile, Bayside Academy humbled Hillcrest with a 56-6 victory. Considering the Admirals have won five contests by more than 21 points this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.
Bayside Academy found their leader in sophomore Davis Barnett, who threw for 257 yards and four TDs while completing 75% of his passes. Barnett is on a roll when it comes to passing touchdowns, as he's now passed for four or more in each of the last three games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Noah Cain, who picked up 66 receiving yards and a pair of scores.
Special teams was a major factor in the game for Bayside Academy, racking up 12 points in total. The biggest highlight from special teams (and perhaps the team as a whole) came courtesy of Caid Lyons, who ran a kickoff back for a touchdown.
On the defensive side of the ball, a lot of the credit has to go to Bayside Academy's defense and their three sacks. The team can thank three different players for their defensive prowess: Owen Reineck, Amos McDaniel, and George Kaiser, who each picked up one sack apiece. Cain got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.
Bayside Academy's win bumped their record up to 5-1. As for Cottage Hill Christian Academy, their victory bumped their record up to 6-0.
Friday's game will pit two of the most dominant signal callers against one another: Toodle and Barnett. Toodle just won't slow down this season and has thrown 13 touchdowns while averaging 222.7 passing yards per game. Barnett has been a dominant force too and has thrown 21 touchdowns while averaging 239.2 passing yards per game.
We should be in store for an exciting game as Cottage Hill Christian Academy and Bayside Academy have no problem gaining yardage. The Warriors have been on an offensive roll this season, having averaged 497.5 total yards per game. However, it's not like Bayside Academy struggles in that department as they've been averaging 391.3 total yards.
