Jacobs had a senior duo take command as Caden DuMelle rushed for 155 yards and three TDs and Michael Cannady rushed for 171 yards and one touchdown on only 15 carries. Those three rushing touchdowns set a new season-high mark for DuMelle.
Jacobs was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 336 rushing yards. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Huntley only rushed for 180.
Despite the loss, Huntley still got an impressive performance from Chase Hojnacki, who rushed for 135 yards and four scores. Thanks to that big game, Hojnacki is now up to 11 rushing touchdowns on the season.
Jacobs now has a winning record of 3-2. As for Huntley, this is the second loss in a row for them and also nudges their season record down to 3-2.
