The Legacy School of Sport Sciences Titans's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Saturday after their fourth straight loss. They were beaten by Cypress Springs 87-46. Legacy School of Sport Sciences was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 42-20.
Despite the loss, Legacy School of Sport Sciences still got an impressive performance from Margan Allen, who scored 14 points. Allen scored a full 30.4% of Legacy School of Sport Sciences' points, the second time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points. Brittney Anderson was another key contributor, scoring 9 points.
Ayla Mcdowell was her usual excellent self, dropping a triple-double on 38 points, 10 rebounds, and 10 assists for Cypress Springs. The contest was Mcdowell's fourth in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Jemini Mitchell, who scored 20 points along with 5 assists and 5 rebounds.
Legacy School of Sport Sciences' defeat dropped their record down to 3-5. As for Cypress Springs, the win (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 7-2.
Legacy School of Sport Sciences will be staying on the road on Thursday to face off against Houston Christian at 12:00 p.m. on November 30th. As for Cypress Springs, they will challenge North Shore at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. North Shore has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
