The Male Bulldogs will challenge the Livingston Central Cardinals at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. Male will aim to continue their four-game streak of scoring more runs each match than the last.
On Friday, Male got the win against Blazer by a conclusive 13-3. The result was nothing new for the Bulldogs, who have now won 11 games by eight runs or more so far this season.
Hannah Wright looked comfortable as she didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out six over four innings pitched.
At the plate, Lily Jones was incredible, going 2-for-3 with one home run, three runs, and two RBI. That's the most runs she has posted since back in March of 2024. Another player making a difference was Jayla Manning, who went 4-for-5 with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI.
Male kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 15 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least 11 hits in four consecutive contests.
Meanwhile, Livingston Central entered their tilt with Lyon County on Thursday with two consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with three. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 4-2 victory over the Lyons. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Cardinals have posted against the Lyons since May 2, 2022.
Addison Tramble spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered just two earned runs on three hits and racked up 14 Ks.
On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Emersyn Ramage, who went 1-for-3 with one home run and three RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Hadley Hargrove, who got on base in all four of her plate appearances with two runs.
Male's victory bumped their record up to 15-4. As for Livingston Central, their win bumped their record up to 11-4.
