The Highland Huskies's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Thursday after their sixth straight loss. They were beaten by Kendrick 71-12. Highland lost against Kendrick in their previous head to head back in January, too, but the margin this time around was much wider than the 70-15 score last time.
Highland's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Kylee Beck, who scored 4 points along with 9 rebounds and 4 blocks, and Laney Bovey who scored 0 points. Beck scored a full 33.3% of Highland's points, the second time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points.
Highland's loss dropped their record down to 1-7. As for Kendrick, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 5-1.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Highland will take on Nezperce at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Kendrick, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Council at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday.
