Freedom is on a five-game streak of home losses, Easton Area an eight-game streak of away losses, but someone's luck is about to change. The Freedom Patriots will take on the Easton Area Rovers at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.
Freedom suffered their biggest defeat since December 6, 2023 last Wednesday. They were dealt a 65-38 loss at the hands of Allentown Central Catholic. While losing is never fun, Freedom can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania basketball rankings (they are ranked 476th, while Allentown Central Catholic is ranked 42nd).
Meanwhile, Easton Area lost to East Stroudsburg North on the road by a decisive 57-39 margin on Wednesday.
The loss doesn't tell the whole story though, as several players had good games. One of the most active was Jeremy Henry, who scored ten points. Andrew Hoadley was another key contributor, scoring nine points.
Freedom has not been sharp recently, as they've lost seven of their last eight games, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-13 record this season. As for Easton Area, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-11.
Freedom didn't have too much breathing room in their match against Easton Area in their previous matchup back in December of 2023, but they still walked away with a 57-51 win. Will Freedom repeat their success, or does Easton Area have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
