University Lab won the last time they faced Plaquemine and things went their way on Thursday too. The Cubs blew past the Green Devils 13-6. The result was nothing new for the Cubs, who have now won 11 contests by six runs or more so far this season.
Gabby Fontenot spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered three earned (and three unearned) runs on four hits and racked up eight Ks.
At the plate, Hallie Shearer was a standout: she scored four runs while going 1-for-3. What's more, she posted three RBI, the most she's had since back in March. London Harvey was another key player, scoring a run and stealing two bases while getting on base in three of her five plate appearances.

The Cubs are facing the Eagles at the right time seeing as the Eagles are stuck on a four-game losing streak. As for Plaquemine, they will be playing at home against Family Christian at 4:30 p.m. on Monday.
