Timberlake is 9-1 against St. Maries since April of 2021 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Thursday. The Tigers will look to defend their home field against the Lumberjacks at 2:00 p.m. Timberlake is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 9 runs per game this season.
Timberlake is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. Everything went their way against Priest River on Tuesday as they made off with a 17-2 victory. That's two games straight that the Tigers have won by exactly 15 runs.

Ryker Brennan made a splash no matter where he played. He struck out nine batters over four innings while giving up just two earned runs off three hits. Those nine strikeouts gave him a new career-high. He was also big at the plate, scoring three runs and stealing two bases while going 3-for-4. He has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last three times he's played.
In other batting news, Timberlake let Dane Perkl and Eric Wylie run wild. Perkl scored three runs and stole a base while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances, while Wylie scored three runs while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances. Perkl also hit a triple, marking his first of the season. James Moore was another key player, scoring two runs while going 1-for-4.
Timberlake was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .423. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Priest River only posted a batting average of .267.
Meanwhile, Thursday just wasn't the day for St. Maries' offense. They came up short against Kendrick on Thursday, falling 13-0. The Lumberjacks have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
St. Maries saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Kris Brusseau, who scored a run and stole three bases while going 2-for-3. Another was Peyton Lingo, who scored a run while going 1-for-3.
Timberlake pushed their record up to 5-2 with the win, which was their third straight on the road. The road victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.3 runs on average over those games. As for St. Maries, their loss dropped their record down to 2-7.
The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Thursday as neither team is afraid to steal. Timberlake has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 3.3 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like St. Maries struggles in that department as they've been averaging 5 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.
Timberlake came out on top in a nail-biter against St. Maries when the teams last played back in April of 2024, sneaking past 7-6. Do the Tigers have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Lumberjacks turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
