Everything went their way against the Legacy Leopards on Tuesday as the City View Mustangs made off with a 19-4 win. Perhaps unsurprisingly given the team's high-flying offense, the game also marked the team's biggest victory of the season.
Brendon Hawkins made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He tossed three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Hawkins was also solid in the batter's box, scoring two runs and stealing a base while getting on base in all three of his plate appearances.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Colton Barnett, who went 3-for-5 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. He is becoming a predictor of City View's success: when he posts at least two runs the team is undefeated (and 4-7 when he doesn't).
