Royse City and Rockwall-Heath are an even 3-3 against one another since March of 2016, but likely not for long. The Royse City Bulldogs will welcome the Rockwall-Heath Hawks at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, the two teams will really light up the scoreboard.

Royse City's pitching crew heads into the contest hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Tuesday. They blew past Tyler Legacy 12-0. Considering the Bulldogs have won 11 matchups by more than six runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

Meanwhile, it was a Battle of the Birds when Rockwall-Heath took on North Forney on Tuesday. Rockwall-Heath fell just short of North Forney by a score of 15-13. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game on Friday (11), the Hawks still had to take the loss.

Jada Williams made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 1-for-4 with one home run, five RBI, and three runs. The dominant performance gave her a new career-high in RBI. Another player making a difference was Piper Moore, who scored four runs while getting on base in four of her five plate appearances.

Even though they lost, Rockwall-Heath always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .522. That was just more of the same: they've now posted an OBP of .500 or higher in three consecutive games.

Royse City has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-5 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.3 runs on average over those games. Rockwall-Heath's loss dropped their record down to 6-10.

Royse City suffered a grim 14-8 defeat to Rockwall-Heath when the teams last played back in April of 2024. Can Royse City avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
