The Meeker Cowboys's game on Friday was a tough loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Saturday. They came out on top against North Fork by a score of 50-38. Winning is a bit easier when you work as a team to rack up 13 more assists than your opponent, as Meeker did.
Meeker found their leader in underclassman Rylee Sullivan, who scored 19 points along with eight assists and six rebounds. That's the first time this season that Sullivan posted eight or more assists. The team also got some help courtesy of Ainsley Selle, who scored no points along with ten rebounds and four steals.
Several Miners players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was London West, who scored 12 points along with six rebounds. Another player making a difference was Sidney Neff, who scored five points along with eight rebounds and two steals.
Meeker's win bumped their record up to 7-5. As for North Fork, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-8.
