Kermit has enjoyed the comforts of home their last two games, but now they'll head out on the road. They will face off against the Crane Cranes at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully Kermit focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 34 on Tuesday.
Last Tuesday, Kermit was able to grind out a solid victory over Compass Academy, taking the game 46-35.
Ebbin Mallory continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines, dropping a double-double on 15 points and 17 rebounds. Another player making a difference was MICHAELA CAZARIN, who scored 11 points along with seven steals and six rebounds.
Meanwhile, Crane entered their tilt with Tornillo with five consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with six. Crane really took it to Tornillo for the full four quarters, racking up a 58-16 win on the road. For those curious, yes, that was the biggest win Crane has managed all season.
Kermit pushed their record up to 14-12 with that victory, which was their tenth straight at home dating back to last season. They've been dominating during the games in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 23.2 points. As for Crane, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight games, which provided a nice bump to their 20-6 record this season.
Kermit didn't have too much breathing room in their matchup against Crane when the teams last played back in December of 2023, but they still walked away with a 36-30 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for Kermit since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
