The biggest upset of the week belonged to Wilkinson County, who took down 68th ranked Wilkinson County, 21-19.
Will McCormick and Alec Martin provided fans with a highlight when they connected against Warren County. The connection went for 88 yards, the longest such play in A Region 7 this season.
First Presbyterian Day's dynamic duo of McCormick and Martin proved tough for the Screaming Devils to stop, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week. McCormick threw for 220 yards and three touchdowns and Martin had 124 yards receiving. Scott McCormick helped First Presbyterian Day's passing attack out by catching four balls for 82 yards.
John Morris was the most productive running back in the league this week. He ran for 232 yards on 24 carries as Aquinas beat Warren County. Grey Klosinski also contributed to the rushing game with 46 yards on the ground.
First Presbyterian Day's Brooks Stroud and McCormick have formed a dynamic duo this season, leading the league in both passing and receiving yards. Stroud has thrown for 1073 yards this season, while McCormick, a 6-foot-0 receiver, has 29 catches for 650 yards. The Fightin' Irish's Brendan Douglas leads the league in rushing yards with 1069.
A big matchup in A Region 7 this week will be when the Vikings take on Aquinas. At the moment, First Presbyterian Day is in fourth, while Matt LeZotte's team is in second.
There should be lots of points scored when the Vikings and the Fightin' Irish face off this week. The top two offenses in the league, First Presbyterian Day comes in having scored 315 this season, while Aquinas has scored 316. The Vikings scored 45 points last week as they defeated the Screaming Devils.
Lincoln County extended the longest winning streak in the league this week by beating the Warriors, 21-19. The victory was the seventh in a row for the team.
