The Richmond HomeSchool Guardians won a close one the last time they played, but unfortunately they suffered a serious change of fortune on Friday. They took a serious blow against Christian Educational Consortium, falling 77-41. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Richmond HomeSchool in their matchups with Christian Educational Consortium: they've now lost five in a row.
Nathan Johnson was his usual excellent self, scoring 24 points along with eight assists and five rebounds for Christian Educational Consortium. Johnson is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last five games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Jack Patterson, who scored ten points along with five rebounds and two steals.
Richmond HomeSchool's defeat dropped their record down to 4-14. As for Christian Educational Consortium, their victory bumped their record up to 14-16.
Richmond HomeSchool will look to defend their home court on Friday against LIGHT HomeSchool at 7:30 p.m. Christian Educational Consortium will be staying on the road on Friday to face off against Louisville Saints HomeSchool at 7:00 p.m. on February 9th. Hopefully Christian Educational Consortium focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 11 on Friday.
