Softball Recap: Tolar Has No Trouble Against Texas Wind

Tolar's game last Monday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Friday. Everything went their way against Texas Wind as the Tolar Rattlers made off with a 9-3 victory. The win continues a trend for the Rattlers in their matchups with Texas Wind: they've now won five in a row.

Lillie Uselton made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She didn't allow a single earned run while striking out six over 4.2 innings pitched. Furthermore, she didn't allow a single earned run, the first time she has blanked an opponent since back in March of 2024. She was also solid in the batter's box, scoring two runs while going 2-for-3. The dominant performance gave her a new career-high in runs.

Uselton wasn't the only one making solid contact as four players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Emori Murphey, who scored a run while going 1-for-3. Another was Audry Dobbs, who scored a run.

Tolar hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Texas Wind struck out six times.

Tolar now has a winning record of 2-1.

Coming up, Tolar will face off against Life Waxahachie at 12:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Texas Wind, they will take on Frost at 9:00 a.m. on February 21st.
