Dynamic Prep has enjoyed the comforts of home their last three games, but now they'll head out on the road. They will take on the Douglass Trojans at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Dynamic Prep knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with flashy point totals in its past five matches -- so hopefully Douglass likes a good challenge.
Winning is just a little bit easier when you work as a team to rack up eight more assists than your opponent, a fact Dynamic Prep proved on Tuesday. They strolled past iSchool of Lewisville with points to spare, taking the game 64-48. Given Dynamic Prep's advantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked third, while iSchool of Lewisville is ranked 237th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Dynamic Prep's success was spearheaded by the efforts of Jaylen Washington, who scored 15 points along with eight assists and five rebounds, and Jermaine O'Neal Jr., who scored 21 points along with seven rebounds and two steals. Washington hasn't dropped below two steals for 14 straight games. Jaden Toombs was another key contributor, scoring nine points along with six rebounds and three steals.
Meanwhile, Douglass entered their tilt with Victory Christian with nine consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with ten. Douglass came out on top against Victory Christian by a score of 58-48 on Friday.
Dynamic Prep pushed their record up to 18-1 with that win, which was their 11th straight at home dating back to last season. They've been dominating during the matchups in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 32.9 points. As for Douglass, their victory bumped their record up to 12-3.
