Enumclaw got a good showing from Taylor Moorman, who tossed 2.1 innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Moorman has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than one hit in three consecutive appearances.
At the plate, Hunter Anderson was cooking despite his team's loss, going 1-for-3 with one home run. That home run marked the first that he has launched this season.
Meanwhile, Inglemoor got themselves on the board against Bellevue on Wednesday, but Bellevue never followed suit. They walked away with a 4-0 win over the Wolverines. That four-run margin sets a new team best for the Vikings this season.
Not much got past Brody Ledger, who gave up just five hits and racked up nine Ks to keep Bellevue off the board. Those nine strikeouts set a new season-high mark for Ledger.
On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Dylan Clark, who went 1-for-3 with one home run and two RBI.
The defeat was their first at home, dropping their record down to 4-4. As for Inglemoor, they now have a winning record of 5-4.
The batters for both teams will have to hit smart on Friday as both have some strikeout artists on the roster. Enumclaw has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 7.9 strikeouts per game. However, it's not like Inglemoor struggles in that department as they've been averaging 7.4 strikeouts. Considering how easily both teams rack up Ks, the hitters on both teams better bring their A-game into this one.
