The Ascent Classical Academy Guardians will head out on the road to take on the Twin Peaks Charter Academy Timberwolves at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. Both teams come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Last Wednesday, Ascent Classical Academy strolled past Poudre Community Academy with points to spare, taking the game 33-18. The win was just what Ascent Classical Academy needed coming off of a 44-24 defeat in their prior matchup.
Meanwhile, Twin Peaks Charter Academy waltzed into their matchup on Friday with two straight wins but they left with three. They enjoyed a cozy 43-29 win over Poudre Community Academy. Winning is a bit easier when your three-point shooting is a whole 21% better than the opposition, as Twin Peaks Charter Academy's was.
Twin Peaks Charter Academy relied on the efforts of Ella Schauer, who scored 13 points along with eight rebounds, and Rayn Ndow, who scored 20 points along with five rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Ndow has scored all season.
Ascent Classical Academy's victory bumped their record up to 3-4. As for Twin Peaks Charter Academy, their victory bumped their record up to 7-4.
Ascent Classical Academy was dealt a bruising 51-18 defeat at the hands of Twin Peaks Charter Academy in their previous matchup back in December of 2023. The matchup was all but decided by halftime, at which point Ascent Classical Academy was down 28-8.
