It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Fillmore can now relate to. They received a blow on Saturday as they fell 86-69 to the Panama Panthers. The Eagles' loss signaled the end of their six-game winning streak.

Panama's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Bryce Hinsdale, who almost dropped a double-double with 25 points and nine assists. That's the most points Hinsdale has posted since back in January of 2024. Carter Brink was another key player, putting up 24 points and five assists.

Fillmore's defeat dropped their record down to 23-4. As for Panama, the victory was the 13th in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 21-2.

Fillmore does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Panama, they will challenge Sackets Harbor Central at 11:45 a.m. on Friday. Panama knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past 13 matches -- so hopefully Sackets Harbor Central likes a good challenge.
