They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Friendship Christian 57-11 at home. Thales Academy Apex has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won seven contests by 24 points or more this season.
Thales Academy Apex was led to victory by Kate Sproul and Anna Maass. Sproul almost dropped a triple-double on 13 points, nine rebounds, and ten steals, while Maass scored 31 points along with seven steals. Maass has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last ten times she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Kenna Sproul, who scored four points along with two steals.
Thales Academy Apex's win was their tenth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 16-4. As for Friendship Christian, they are on a nine-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-15.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Thales Academy Apex will take on Trinity of Durham and Chapel Hill at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Trinity of Durham and Chapel Hill will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps North Carolina Rankings (they are ranked 432nd, while Thales Academy Apex is ranked 185th). As for Friendship Christian, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Thales Academy Rolesville at 5:30 p.m. on Friday.
