The Quincy Trojans were the 69-43 winner over the Loyalton Grizzlies when they last played one another back in January, but their luck changed this time around. Quincy fell 52-41 to Loyalton on Tuesday.
Loyalton's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Aidan Shelby, who dropped a double-double on 20 points and 14 rebounds. That makes it two consecutive games in which Shelby has scored at least 25% of Loyalton's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Cooper Holland, who dropped a double-double on 12 points and 11 steals.
Quincy's loss dropped their record down to 0-1. As for Loyalton, the win got them back to even at 1-1.
Quincy will be playing in front of their home fans against Virginia City at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Loyalton, they will face off against Modoc at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Hopefully Modoc focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 14 on Tuesday.
