This season hasn't been kind to The Hollins Royals, who are still winless after their tenth game. They were dealt a 43-14 defeat at the hands of Osceola on Friday. Hollins was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 36-0.
Osceola's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Nate Gooden, who rushed for 45 yards and a touchdown, and also picked up 71 receiving yards. Another player making a difference was Jack Moraniec, who rushed for 24 yards and a touchdown.
Hollins' loss was their eighth straight at home (dating back to last season), which dropped their overall record down to 0-10. That rough patch could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 3.6 points per game. As for Osceola, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a nice bump to their 5-5 record this season.
Hollins does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Osceola also has no future games currently scheduled.
