Meanwhile, Bishop Foley made easy work of Our Lady of the Lakes on Tuesday and carried off a 12-2 win. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Ventures.
Mason Kanar made a splash no matter where he played. On the mound, he struck out nine batters over five innings while giving up just two earned runs off two hits. He is becoming a predictor of Bishop Foley's success: when he allows at most two earned runs the team is undefeated (and 2-4 when he doesn't). Kanar was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-3 with one home run and two RBI.
In other batting news, Bishop Foley got a massive performance out of Cooper Dolot, who got on base in all four of his plate appearances with three runs, one double, and one RBI. Dolot also got two hits, marking his first of the season. Tyler Vogel was another key player, going a perfect 2-for-2 with two stolen bases, one run, and one RBI.
Bishop Foley always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .536. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.
Cabrini's loss dropped their record down to 4-7. As for Bishop Foley, they now have a winning record of 5-4.
