After a string of three wins, The Briar Woods Falcons''s good fortune finally ran out on Friday. They received a tough blow as they fell 29-12 to Stone Bridge. Having soared to a lofty 34 points in the game before, Briar Woods couldn't push the score so high this time.
Briar Woods' loss came despite strong showings from Brady Carmical and Colin Capistrant. Carmical rushed for 54 yards and a touchdown, while Capistrant picked up 117 receiving yards and a touchdown. Capistrant was no stranger to the big play, lighting up the secondary with a catch that went for 66 yards.
Briar Woods' defeat dropped their record down to 7-2. As for Stone Bridge, they now have a winning record of 5-4.
Briar Woods will be playing in front of their home fans against Independence at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Stone Bridge, they will head out on the road to face off against Riverside at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Riverside is coming into the match on a five-game losing streak.
