After four games on the road, Chanute is heading back home. The Chanute Blue Comets and the Paola Panthers will face off at 6:00 p.m. on January 23rd without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Paola took a loss in their last matchup and will be looking to turn the tables on Chanute, who comes in off a win.
Last Friday, Chanute didn't have too much trouble with Northeast Kansas Nighthawks HomeSchool on the road as they won 50-36. The win was all the more spectacular given Chanute's disadvantage in MaxPreps' Kansas basketball rankings (they are ranked 246th, while Northeast Kansas Nighthawks HomeSchool is ranked 109th).
Meanwhile, Paola's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their seventh straight loss. They took a hard 43-28 fall against Rock Creek.
Chanute's victory bumped their record up to 4-6. As for Paola, their loss dropped their record down to 3-8.
