Platteville had lost three games straight , but after bumping their record up to 7-9 on Friday that streak is in the rearview. Their pitcher stepped up to hand the Southwestern Wildcats a 6-0 shutout. The Hillmen not only won on Friday, but they posted their biggest win since April 3rd (when they won 13-6).
Kennedy Shea made a splash no matter where she played. On the mound, she didn't allow a single earned run while striking out ten over seven innings pitched. That's the most strikeouts she has posted since back in April. She was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with two RBI and one double.
