Baseball Recap: Ewing Sets Scoring Season-High Against Palmyra

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Ewing). They walked away with a 12-7 victory over the Palmyra Panthers on Monday. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Blue Devils considering their one-run performance the game before.

The team relied heavily on Joey Andreas, who went 2-for-4 with four RBI, two runs, and two doubles. Those four RBI gave him a new career-high. Jake Mignogna was another key player, going 1-for-4 with two RBI and one run.

Ewing's win ended a five-game drought at home and bumped them up to 4-12. As for Palmyra, their defeat was their eighth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 9-9.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Ewing will square off against Hillsborough at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Palmyra, they will take on Pennsauken Tech at 3:45 p.m. on Tuesday.
